  17. Get 1/2 teaspoon Ginger garlic powder
Instructions to make Mom’s recipe mix dal:
  1. First soak the dal for 15 min
  2. Make a paste of onion,tomato,ginger,garlic, green chilies in blender
  3. Take a pot and add oil 2 tbsp and add tomato,onion,garlic,ginger paste and stir it and slightly fry it and then add Red Chilli Powder, salt,Turmeric Powder,cumin seeds,ginger garlic powder and stir it and then cook it for 2 minutes on medium flame
  4. Then add Soaked dal and stir it and then add 2 cups water and cover it with lid and cook for 20 minutes on medium to low flame.
  5. After that remove lid and then stir it and add 1 cup water and stir it cover again for 5 min - After that remove the lid and then add Garam Masala Powder and stir it
  6. Now take a pan and add 3 tbsp oil and add Cumin, Red Chilli, Curry Leaves,slice garlic and slightly fry it and then turn off the flame and put it into Moong dal.
  7. Decorat with dry methi and garam masala.. Mix daal is ready.
