The ingredients needed to make Kimpira Burdock & Pork:
  1. Make ready 200 grams Burdock
  2. Make ready 1 pcs Carrot
  3. Prepare 200 grans Sliced Pork
  4. Prepare 2 tbsp Sugar
  5. Get 4 tbsp Sake (Japanese cooking wine)
  6. Get 4 tbsp Soy Sauce
Instructions to make Kimpira Burdock & Pork:
  1. Scrape off the burdock skin and cut into long, thin shavings. (It’s easy to shave the burdock by using peeler.) - Put the shavings in water for 15 minutes and drain.
  2. Cut the carrot into thin strip. - Cut the sliced pork into bite-size.
  3. Heat the oil, and stir-fry the pork, burdock and carrot over high heat. - When the moisture evaporates and the oil has seeped in, add Sugar, Sake and Soy Sauce.
  4. Stir from time to time on medium heat until the moisture is gone.
  5. Soy Sauce - High recommend this seasoning soy sauce which is named Yamasa Konbutsuyu - SG$7~9/L at Dondon Donki, Mid Town Mart etc
