  25. Get 1 Table Spoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  26. Take 1/2 table spoon Oil

  29. Get 1.5 Tea Spoon Oil
  30. Take 1/2 Tea Spoon Sarson

  32. Take 2 Dried Red Chillies or 1 Teaspoon Kashmiri Laal Mirch Powder

It consists of a thick gravy based on chickpea or gram flour to which yogurt is added to give. A Kadhi recipe which is a family heirloom recipe. This fabulous Kadhi Pakora is my mother in law's treasured recipe of making the traditional Punjabi Kadhi with onion pakora. Kadhi Pakora Recipe is a Pakistani soupy curry with lots of pakoras in it, and is finished off with a karhi patta tadka.

Steps to make Kadhi Pakoda:
  1. Chop Green Chillies, Dhaniya Leaves, Onion & Ginger very finely.
  2. Now take a bowl, add 1 Cup Besan with 1 Teaspoon Salt, 3/4 Teaspoon Laal Mirch Powder, 1/2 Teaspoon Coriander Seeds, 1/2 Teaspoon Ajwain on it & whisk them properly before adding water.
  3. Now slowly-slowly start adding water so that no lumps are formed in the batter.
  4. Now whisk the batter for 3 minutes continuously till Besan colour changes from yellow to light yellow colour.
  5. After 3 minutes, add 1 Table Spoon Desi Ghee, 1 Table Spoon Ginger Paste, 1/4 Teaspoon Haldi Powder, Chopped Onion, Green Chillies & Dhaniya Leaves in it & whisk them properly.
  6. Now let the batter rest for 10-15 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile, take a mixer grinder jar, add 1 Cup Sour Dahi with 4 Table Spoon Besan, 1 Teaspoon Salt, 1 Teaspoon Laal Mirch Powder, 1/2 Teaspoon Haldi Powder in it & grind them properly in a mixer grinder before adding water.
  8. After 1st spin, add 1 Litre in it & again grind them properly.
  9. Now take a pressure cooker, add 1/2 Big Spoon Oil in it & keep the gas on medium flame.
  10. When oil gets heated up, add 1/2 Teaspoon Sarson, 1/2 Teaspoon Methi Dana & Chopped Green Chillies in it & let them sizzle.
  11. When they start sizzling, add finely grinded kadhi purée in it & mix them properly.
  12. Now cook them till gravy starts boiling.
  13. Now after 15 minutes, add 1/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder or ENO in it mix them properly.
  14. Now take a kadhai, add Oil in it & keep the gas on medium flame.
  15. When oil gets heated up, add batter in oil drop by drop & fry them till they turn into golden brown in colour.
  16. After 3-4 minutes, when they turn into golden brown in colour, turn off the flame & take them out in a bowl.
  17. After 5-6 minutes, when gravy starts boiling, add 1 Table Spoon Ginger Garlic Paste in it & cook them for 1-2 minutes.
  18. After 1-2 minutes, add fried Besan Pakode in it & mix them properly.
  19. Now take a tadka pan, add 1.5 Table Spoon oil in it & keep the gas on low flame.
  20. When Oil gets heated up, add 1/2 Teaspoon Sarson, 2 Dried Red Chillies or 1 Teaspoon Kashmiri Laal Mirch Powder, 1 Pinch Hing in it & let them sizzle.
  21. When they start sizzling, pour the tadka on top gravy & mix them properly.
  22. In the end, add finely chopped dhaniya leaves in it & mix them properly.
  23. Your Kadhi Pakoda is ready to be served.
