  1. Get 1.5 cup sour curd
  2. Get 3 cups water
  3. Make ready 1 tbsp turmeric

  7. Prepare 1/2 Garam masala
  8. Make ready 1 Onion medium size

Kadhi and Khichdi - A nutritious and comforting meal, home cooked by my mom is In winters, we enjoyed Khichdi with a piping hot bowl of yogurt based soupkadhi and in the summer it was served. Punjabi Kadhi pakora is ready to be served. Enjoy it with rice or rotis. It goes well with khichdi and jeera puloa also.

Instructions to make Kadhi:
  1. Whisk the curd well.
  2. Add besan, red chili, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt and mix it well.
  3. Add water and mix without lumps.
  4. Heat oil and add cumin seeds and hing.
  5. Add chopped onion and saute and add ginger garlic paste.
  6. Now add curd and besan mixture. Stir on a high flame and bring the kadhi to boil.
  7. Now lower the flame and simmer for more 15-20 mins. Kadhi will thicken.
  8. I use ready-made kadhi pakoras.

Enjoy it with rice or rotis. It goes well with khichdi and jeera puloa also. My husband makes the khichdi, I make the kadhi. The first time I made this recipe, hubby was a little skeptical about the turmeric and. Sindhi Kadhi is very delicious and nutritious.
