  4. Add salt and turmeric powder and mix until yellowish in colour.
  5. Slowly pour vermicelli in the pan.
  6. Cover the pan for a while to let it cook on a medium flame.
  7. Remove the lid and check if the water has evaporated.
  8. Semiya Upma is ready to serve hot.
