The ingredients needed to make Zarda:
  1. Take 500 gm rice
  2. Get 500 gm sugar
  3. Make ready 50 gm dry coconut chopped
  4. Get 50 gm cashew chopped
  5. Make ready 50 gm almond chopped
  6. Get 50 gm raisins
  7. Get 100 gm dry dates chopped
  8. Prepare 1 litre water
  9. Make ready 2 cloves
  10. Prepare 1 green cardamom
  11. Make ready 1 black cardamom
  12. Prepare 100 gm ghee
Steps to make Zarda:
  1. Cook the rice with water on medium flame…till it becomes soft…when cooked strain it….
  2. Heat ghee in a kadhai on medium flame and add the cardamoms and cloves…then add the sugar and 1 cup water…
  3. Keep stiring till it becomes sugar syrup…then add the cooked rice and mix well…
  4. Then add the chopped dry fruits…mix and cook for some time then serve…
